Fallback Bridging

• Catalyst 3560
– IPv4 & IPv6 routing
– All other protocol stacks must be bridged

• IPX, NetBIOS, CLNS, etc.
• Fallback bridging allows other stacks to be bridged between SVIs and routed interfaces


Configuring Fallback Bridging

• Enable fallback bridge group
– bridge 1 protocol vlan-bridge

• Apply bridge-group to SVI or routed interface
– bridge-group 1
